2026 Motivation Mile
The Motivational Mile is a one-of-a-kind community event in Eagle Mountain, Utah where people gather to form a mile-long chain, standing shoulder to shoulder along a safe route, each holding a message of hope like “I BELIEVE IN YOU.” The goal is simple: to create a powerful, impossible-to-ignore wave of encouragement, reminding every person who passes by that they are not alone and their community believes in them, while also deeply moving those who participate.
Starts In
We need at least 1,500 people to reach our goal. Join us and make history!
LAST YEAR WAS AMAZING!
Last year’s Motivation Mile proved just how much a community can do when it comes together around something good. More than a thousand people showed up to stand side by side in a public display of encouragement and belief. We reached .82 miles of our mile-long goal, and while we didn’t quite complete the full distance, what happened was still remarkable: an entire community rallied around hope in a way that was visible, powerful, and impossible to ignore.
The response from the public made the moment even more meaningful. So many people driving by waved, honked, smiled, and thanked us, reminding us that even simple acts of encouragement can reach farther than we realize. It was one of those rare events that felt bigger than itself, not just because of the turnout, but because of the unity it created. It brought people together, lifted spirits, and showed what is possible when a community decides to stand for something positive.
THIS YEAR'S CHALLENGE
This year, we are raising the stakes. After a Los Angeles news show, Good Nite LA, poked fun at us for falling short of the full mile last year, we decided to answer with a challenge. If we complete the mile this year and break the world record, they have to join me in Los Angeles for a sign run. If we don’t, our founder will run with a sign that says “A WIN FOR PESSIMISM.”
It is a good-hearted challenge, but it serves a bigger purpose. It brings more exposure to Motivation Mile, gives the community something fun to rally behind, and adds even more momentum to this year’s event. What started as a joke has now become part of the story, and part of the motivation to finish what we started.

Help Spread the Word
Download the official event poster and help us reach more people by printing it out and putting it up where in can be seen in a public place or share it on social media by tapping the button below. Every share is a chance to inspire someone new.
Last year, a Los Angeles news show had a little fun with us for coming up short of the full mile. Fair enough. This year, we’re turning that into fuel. Bring your energy, bring your people, and help us show what can happen when a town rallies behind belief.
Print it out and pin it to a bulletin board at your school, tape it in the window of a local business, or hand it to a friend. The more places it shows up, the more people will know about it and the bigger our impact will be.
Scanning the QR code on the poster will send people directly back to this page.
